Curiosidades de la corbata
La corbata actual fue patentada por Langsdorf en 1924. A diferencia de las anteriores está se hizo en tres piezas, de esta manera se podía aprovechar mejor la tela y su desperdicio era menor. Aunque sus inicios fueron muy anteriores. En el siglo XVII en la corte de Luis XIV se puso de moda utilizarla, normalmente la corbata se anudaba al cuello con un broche o a través de los ojales de la chaqueta. Pero los franceses no fueron los que diseñaron esta prenda tan particular, ellos la adoptaron de los oficiales del ejército Croata. Estos llevaban en su traje una tela blanca anudada al cuello. Una vez se instaló en la corte francesa se extendió a Inglaterra. Estas primeras corbatas no dejaban de ser un trozo de tela en el cuello, su forma no tenía nada que ver con las modernas corbatas que hoy se lucen. En el siglo XIX y principios del XX se convirtió en un símbolo de distinción, sobre todo para las altas clases de la burguesía.
En la actualidad la corbata es utilizada tanto por hombres como por mujeres, se podría decir que es unisex. Cualquier compromiso social o simplemente el hecho de dar (causar) una buena impresión requiere llevarla. Sin embargo la forma actual de vestir, hace que cada vez se utilice en menos ocasiones. Hasta hace tan solo unos años era impensable ver a un novio sin corbata, o a un presidente de los EEUU sin ella, pero la moda es cambiante y lo que antes era hoy no es. Tendrá la corbata los días contados... no lo creo. La corbata se ha instalado en nuestro vestuario para durar y durar. Y es que una mujer con corbata sigue siendo sexy o no…
